Bat Technician (Repair & Production)
Kookaburra – UK BatCave, Corby | Full-time
Kookaburra is looking for a Cricket Bat Technician to join our UK BatCave in Corby. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes cricket, and has experience repairing bats and using workshop tools. You’ll be part of a skilled team that repairs and makes the bats trusted by players at every level of the game.
What you’ll do :
• Bat repair: Carry out high-quality repairs including handle replacements, toe and edge work, re-gripping, stickering and finishing.
• Workshop operations: Use hand tools and woodworking machinery confidently and safely.
• Intake & coordination: Assess incoming bats for repair, document work, and liaise with our customer service team on turnaround times.
• Production: Work across bat-making processes from cleft to completion, especially during busy periods.
What you’ll bring:
• Practical experience with cricket bat repairs and a genuine passion
• Working to high standards and it shows in your attention to detail at the end of the process.
• Confidence with workshop tools and machinery.
• Good knowledge of cricket bats, performance, and materials.
• A team-player approach and willingness to learn and adapt.
• A ability to self manage workload and prioritise tasks during busy periods.
